Summary: Challenge - Bayerngas kept expanding and founding new subsidiary companies while working in a complex market which was, for a short time, influenced by deregulation. The primary branding was no longer contemporary and did not fit the company´s requirements. So with the annual report for 2005 a rebranding was implemented. Strategy - Bayerngas had to be repositioned as a Europe-wide company with a strong reference to it’s origin, without appearing provincial. Conveying the company´s values in an actual image was the basis for the redesign process. Result - The communication materials were redesigned and standardized for all purposes. Maintaining the original logo, the use of type, color, graphics, etc. was redefined for a precise and self-confident appearance and applied to the latest means of communication.
