Summary: Challenge - North Jersey Community Newspapers owns more than 30 weeklies in Northern New Jersey which were bought from various publishers over the years. Consequently, the designs and skill level of the staff varied widely. The mission was to bring the design and staff expertise up to a high and consistent level and to rebrand all the papers. Strategy - Creative Circle Media Consulting created efficient, fresh, and appropriate designs for each paper’s market, instead of one corporate cookie-cutter design. The same fonts and colors were applied so that every paper in the group – when viewed together – had cohesive, common elements. Result - In addition to a fresh, unified look for the group of papers, the number of formats was reduced and standardized to facilitate content sharing and ease production.
