Summary: Challenge - When Target Sports looked to diversify for growth, not only did they need a new name but also a new identity to help add credibility to their intent. Key issues: diversification into new markets; demanding purchase criteria in key markets; distinction between the existing company and the new venture. Strategy - Create a business brand which would allow Target Sports to move into the more sophisticated market of precision turned components. The company was to change direction from dart manufacturing to precision engineering. The rebranded elements included: company identity and implementation strategy; targeted mail-piece; company introductory literature & brochure; exhibition design; and web design. A chess theme was used to communicate sophistication and adopt a ‘thinking’ approach. The skill of the company was demonstrated by designing a chess piece (a king, manufactured by Target) which was 17mm high and sent inside the mailer. Result • Greater awareness in the market place • Highly effective direct mail • Increase turnover from £30k to £450k Credits : Client : Target Precision Limited - www.target-precision.co.uk Creative Firm : Griib Design - www.griibdesign.co.uk [back] |
