2011 REBRAND 100 > notable Component Rebrand Country Base: Romania Industry/Sector: Personal Care Products Below: Before and After Images in Slide Show, Summary, Credits Summary: Industry Setting A 100% natural brand, engendered from a hobby by a Romanian entrepreneur in 2006, persists in a very crowded market of natural soaps, dominated by international brands. But the desire to move forward is great. With few resources, a name that has already gained loyalty among customers, Galador’s story continues. Challenge A new package for the product line became necessary to reduce lead time and reflect the premium handmade product, and to better match the functional brand’s personality of the 100% “cold-pressed” vegetal ingredients, silky on your skin with the emotional ones such as environmentally friendly, nature’s privileges, personal approach, indulgence. Strategy Galador’s brand tagline "Closer to nature” comprises the company's values and educates its consumer on his relationship with nature and with himself. An organic color palette and a special paper texture echo the idea of handmade, authentic products. Refreshed logo expresses delicacy, naturalness through the typeface and hibiscus flower, representing untouched nature such as soap’s ingredients. The package design reminds of vegetal products and soap’s unique form, especially created by Galador. Thus, the premium positioning is transmitted from the shelf through texture and package design. Touchpoints converted into applications, creating a memorable brand experience with its audiences. Result The rebranding project raised the brand’s profile and helped business development by decreasing lead time and leveraging Galador’s brand visibility on the shelf. The company registered in 2009 a growth of 250% in turnover and of 400% in profit.
