Over the past 50 years it has been able to acquire numerous German clients, as it is able to provide them access to Austrian banking confidentiality based on its unique geographical and political situation. Challenge Three factors were relevant: changing client behavior in Germany, the necessity to sharpen its profile to distinguish it from its competitors, and increasing instability in the financial markets. The analysis showed that the name Raiffeisenbank Kleinwalsertal and the brand’s appearance were no longer up to these challenges. Strategy The bank responded with a new brand strategy and values that build the bridge between tradition and progress. They form the basis for the bank’s new positioning and its contemporary, forward-looking brand architecture. Result The strategy laid the foundation for the new name and a brand look that reflects the company’s identity. The Walser Privatbank accepted the challenges of a historical chance to solidify its relationships with its existing staff and clients while becoming attractive for new ones.
