Summary:

Challenge - After 20 years of declining sales, the Old Milwaukee brand management team, in conjunction with the agency, decided the Old Milwaukee (OM) brand needed a visual update.

Strategy - In addition to redesigning the classic OM and OM light brands, the creative team needed to consider and incorporate recent line extensions in to the OM family – specifically the Ice and non-alcoholic products. The scope of the project included a new brand/logo lock-up for the OM brand, flavor designators for the line extensions, an OM color family, and application of the new identity system to primary and secondary packaging.

Result - The creation of a bold, new brand introduced to new customers, without alienating existing customers.
