Summary:

Industry Setting - Adoption of wireless technologies by college and university IT directors has been remarkably slow. Most of the major wireless carriers have ignored the university market as an opportunity for growth, despite the fact that almost every college student comes to school with a mobile device.

Challenge - Because Rave’s software requires the university to integrate systems from multiple departments, the firm needed to convince university IT directors that this complex solution would ultimately yield tangible benefits.

Strategy - With the brand promise “the experts in campus mobility,” Rave was able to assert its leadership in this new and emerging category. [The firm] was hired by Rave to simplify its brand story, refresh its visual identity, and help re-launch the Rave brand to universities all across the US.

Result - [The firm's] solutions worked in complex, co-branded communications. In many applications, the Rave brand needed to appear alongside the university’s logo, as well as the wireless carrier’s brand, and not conflict with either. [The firm] achieved this with a bold, simple black-and-white solution allowing the Rave brand to stand out.
