Summary:
Industry Setting - Network Solutions was the original, international domain registrar in 1993, and has expanded its offerings since then to include not only domain names, but also hosting, website packages, online marketing, and email solutions of various levels.
Challenge - In the ever-changing domain industry, NS wanted to ensure its stature as a well-regarded brand that is both competitively priced and a reputable force that won't get lost in the sea of new cut-rate domain registrars.
Strategy - It was time for NS to reinvent its category. Network Solutions doesn't just provide internet-related services (domains, websites, hosting); it also enables small business success. In fact, all of its offerings are focused on empowering small businesses with everything they need to succeed online. The new NS is open, honest, simple, and flexible. As such, the current strategy reflects this outlook – a completely revamped company, not just externally with a new logo/graphics, but internally with a new corporate attitude and focus -- small business success.
Result - The redesigned website is easier to navigate, allowing for segmentation by the user and clear benefit statements per offering. The new brand assets also make NS stand out from the competition and truly own their brand. Positive costumer response to the site increased from 5% to 25% after the redesign.
