Summary:
Industry Setting - The ACSF (Asian Clay Shooting Federation) is a marksmanship association founded in 1981 to gather and develop talented amature athletes and professionals in Asia with the goal of having greater involvement and recognition in international competition.
Challenge - The ACSF wanted to develop a brand identity that represents the vision, mission and values with which they serve their members. This design also had to be responsive to the changing needs of the modern association and encourage participation in the sport of clay shooting at all levels.
Strategy - The overall strategy that has been established is to visually represent the Federation's goal "to develop professionals to greater involvement and recognition in international competition".
The ACSF name has been uniquely rendered to incorporate a clay target, and serves as the primary brand identity. To complement the text, a new crest has been developed for the Federation. This crest derives its form from a first place ribbon, and this brand mark serves as a universal symbol that signifies the goal of all athletes upon the quest to becoming an international champion.
Result - As a result of the rebrand, the Federation's visibility has increased both within Asia and internationally. Recipients of ACSF grants have more accurately used the logo and other brand elements in their own communication. Furthermore, an increased understanding of the Federation's goals and values has been reported among its members.
