Summary:

Industry Setting - The Institute of Technology Sligo (ITS) is one of 14 similar third-level institutes in Ireland. Situated in the North-West, there are currently 5,400 students attending the college and it is the fourth largest in the country.

Challenge -Unlike communications material from most Irish third level colleges which tends to be inward looking, focusing on history, tradition and academic expertise, the challenge was to engineer a cultural shift with the creation of a ‘student facing’ brand.

Strategy/Result - By reducing the brand name to ITS, we created the core brand concept “ITS ABOUT YOU”. A teaser campaign on campus in the form of large banners and posters built on this idea — “ITS WHAT YOU MAKE IT”, “ITS YOUR VOICE”, etc. This concept/attitude has been continued in the prospectus and other printed materials produced.
