Trimcraft Rebrand by Trimcraft Team


Summary:

Industry Setting - Dovecraft is a flagship brand of Trimcraft (www.trimcraft.co.uk) – a leading Papercraft Distributor and Manufacturer.

Challenge - The redesign of Dovecraft was based on the motivation to create a higher quality finish to the packaging and to achieve greater consistency between product design within the brand. Previously a range of different colors, symbols and fonts were used which meant that the brand had little value as was not easily recognizable

Strategy: - The symbol of the dove was modernised to fit the general evolution of Dovecraft products. The colour palette of silver and black was chosen as they both have similar associations with luxury and premium products. Only two colours were chosen to encourage simplicity in design, for a more sophisticated look.

Strategy/Result: - The repackage fitted in with the strategic direction that we wanted to take the brand in. With higher quality products and a focus on design. The rebrand was highly successful, probably due to its holistic approach. Retailers found a huge increase in sales and on market research, we found that the brand was easy to distinguish from other brands and that loyalty to the brand was increasing.
