Summary: Industry Setting - PCA is a Cambridge-based architecture firm who wanted to reinforce their status an established, well-run, successful, and, especially at their twenty-fifth anniversary, innovative and forward-thinking firm. Challenge - • Communicate PCA’s unique strengths, experience, and broad range of markets. • Distinguish PCA’s identity within the industry based upon their approach – “top-notch creative design paired with business savvy”. Strategy - • A redeveloped website and fresh series of direct mailers jointly communicate the PCA identity - their culture, project approach, philosophy, and design aesthetic. • Both mediums feature the recently adopted PCA acronym and logo change, symbolic of maturity and established identity. • They share a complementary design, with a modernist, simple look highlighting project photography. • Both conspicuously express PCA’s breadth of project types. Result - • Audience reactions all were extremely positive and exceeded expectations. • One prospective client was able to attach PCA’s name to a housing project he liked and contracted the firm for his housing work. • An editor received PCA’s mailer, acquired further information from the website, and published an article about the project’s design. • New employees have credited information found on the website about the office’s environment and culture with influencing their decision to join PCA.
