Summary: Industry Setting/Challenge: - Zig-Zag, a brand synonymous with smoking since its founding in 1879, approached Fisher Design with the challenge of reinvigorating their eroding brand image in the Make Your Own Cigarette category. The existing ZZ MYO packaging was not representative of the Zig-Zag brand portfolio, and lacked the emotional connection with consumers they experienced in their widely popular line of paper products. The make your own category is a growing segment within the overall tobacco cigarette category and Zig-Zag was looking to capitalize on this growth. Strategy/Result: - Leveraging the core brand attributes of the Zig-Zag name along with the iconic Boris illustration, Fisher Design constructed packaging that truly created a branded family. In the end, Fisher Design not only assisted Zig-Zag in enhancing it’s packaging to clearly communicate to its consumers but also created packaging that was more appealing to a larger audience.
