Summary:

Industry Setting - Lovelace Medical Group, a sub-brand of Lovelace Health System for 85 years, decided to spin off and become an independent medical group to be able to provide better, more personalized care.

Challenge
• To separate the new, independent medical group from its former parent brand.
• To communicate that the new medical group is a local, physician-owned medical group that is still a partner with the Lovelace brand.
• To generate excitement and pride among providers and staff.

Strategy
• Renamed the new medical group, ABQ Health Partners to capitalize on their local ownership, and their partnership with patients & other healthcare providers.
• Used a healthy green color scheme and an icon that represents a “Q”, the unofficial symbol of Albuquerque, and a stethoscope.
• Partners in your health further communicates the primary mission of ABQ Health Partners, to be true partners in your health.
• Launched materials that communicate that while some things will change, others will remain the same, to maintain the necessary collaboration with the Lovelace brand.

Result
The new brand is proving to successfully give ABQ Health Partners the identity it needs to distinguish itself, be an obvious partner of Lovelace and instill pride in providers and staff.
