Organic Motion Rebrand by Method


Summary:

Industry Setting - Organic Motion has created a unique markerless motion capture system that enables computers to capture accurate human motion data in real time.

Challenge - They hired Method to develop a comprehensive brand system that communicates the value and reach of their breakthrough technology. Their original brand no longer reflected the company’s overall value proposition, nor spoke to the more evolved and segmented audiences that Organic Motion could benefit.

Strategy - We created a new identity mark, business papers, brochures, product family name, and website aimed to appeal to Organic Motion’s target audiences: animation and film companies, medical and imaging practitioners, research facilities, and sports analysts. Through carefully layering and juxtaposition of transparent layers, and photography emphasizing energetic movement, the designs both attract viewers and communicates the ability of the technology to free motion capture from its usual constraints.

Result - Debuted at Siggraph 2007, the system was well received by potential customers who had been following Organic Motion, helping to generate a sense that the company was growing rapidly and had “come of age.”
