Colonial Printing Company Rebrand by Orange Square

Summary:

Industry Setting - Colonial Printing Company in Warwick, Rhode Island, is considered a mid-sized printer and is among several in the state and many more throughout Southern New England.

Challenge - Print vendors are continuously vying for business from independent graphic design firms, advertising agencies and other companies. With Colonial Printing’s competition also touting advances in technology, new capabilities, and certifications, the challenge was about how to set Colonial apart from the competition in the immediate area, and beyond that, to grow its sales in the Boston, Massachusetts market.

Strategy - We set out to promote technology and printing capabilities that Colonial had over its competitors—capabilities that, at the time, were better than the competition. Colonial’s capabilities included use of a brand new 6-color Kimori Press, Fuji Final Proofing, and Metal FX® Technology. We used what Colonial does—printing—as a marketing vehicle. Our goal was for every touch point to provide information to the target audiences and inform them what makes Colonial different.

Result - A new identity was established for Colonial and was implemented across marketing materials, signage and delivery vehicles. The stationery sets, postcard campaign, and trade show graphics gave Colonial’s sales force the tools to solicit new business and set Colonial apart from the competition.
