Summary: Industry Setting - Ambius is the world’s leading provider of plants and replica foliage, interior landscaping, ambient scenting, artwork, design installation and maintenance services for the commercial environment. Their innovative year-round plant programmes help improve quality of life in the workplace and present an aesthetically pleasing business environment. Challenge - In 2005, studies concluded the Rentokil Tropical Plants (RTP) name and identity did not aid the business, nor did it reflect the aim of the company. The new identity needed to unify the Rentokil Tropical Plants businesses around the world under a single name, vision and identity that engaged with, and inspired its customers. Strategy - Identified as the key business positioning, ‘Stimulating the senses’ spans the concepts of happy in mind, healthy in body and enriching relationships. It refers to more than just the vitality of the individual, encompassing the powerful bond between people and their workplace. The idea behind ‘Stimulating the senses’ gave birth to a powerful and differentiating proposition because it goes beyond what we see and feel. It assumes a level of excellence in the quality of working life. Result - The new name, Ambius, was developed as an evolution and personalisation of ambience. It reflects the strong natural chemistry between the different people in a work place and the interactions with their environment. It is a simple name with powerful emotional connotations. Yet it also conveys growth, inspiration and connection. Around this, the brand was evolved to include emotive imagery, a positive and organic colour palette, crisp designs, and copy that was written using a relaxed and personal tone of voice. A suite of launch collateral was developed, including brochures, stationery, sales materials, vehicle livery and exhibition stands. Brand Guidelines were also released to each of the locations across the globe ensuring the brand is consistent and can be adopted simply at local level.
