Brown's Brewing Company Rebrand by Id29

Summary:

Industry Setting - Brown's Brewing Company (Troy, NY) handcrafts some of the finest ales and lagers in the world (a statement backed up by the brewery's multiple wins at prestigious, global competitions).

Challenge - When Garry Brown - founder and president of the brewery - decided to begin distribution of his products beyond the confines of his brewpub, he understood that it takes more than a fine product; it takes a strong brand identity, a compelling message and exceptional design as well. He asked id29 to provide him with those assets and a new name for his craft brewing operation.

Strategy - Ultimately, the company was named Brown’s Brewing Company after Garry. From a brand identity standpoint, it was critical for the brand to reflect the rich heritage of brewing and the hard working, blue-collar values that serve as its founder’s guideposts. The logo, overarching design aesthetic, messaging, marketing communications, package design and environmental design we developed addresses those guideposts and puts a contemporary spin on them as well.

Result - Brown's has begun regional distribution of its products (Pale Ale, Oatmeal Stout and IPA). It's going so well that they're planning on introducing their ESB to the Northeast market as well.
