Aidan Petrie is co-founder and creative director of Item Group, a leading, full-service, new product development consulting firm rich with expertise in research and strategic planning; industrial design; mechanical, electrical and manufacturing engineering; and Asian sourcing and supply. As creative director, Aidan oversees the product creation, engineering and sourcing activities across the companies.Since Item’s inception 20 years ago, the firm has grown into three separate companies: Item New Product Development, commercial and industrial product focused; Ximedica, an FDA medical device development and supply company; and Innovation Chain Partners, a company with expertise working with select consumer brands. With a premier client portfolio and over 100 granted patents, Item has designed, engineered, and launched hundreds of commercially successful products for global brand leaders and start-ups alike. Aidan received his degree from Central St. Martins School of London in product engineering and his masters in industrial design from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). [ back ] |
