Duhan Rebrand by Studio Conex - Croatia


Summary:

Challenge - Duhan d.d. Rijeka is a company founded in 1949 that deals with wholesale and retail of tobacco products, press, food, drink, and fancy goods. In 2005 the company decided to implement a new visual identity.

Strategy - The visual elements of the new Duhan identity have two basic colors – dark blue and orange, which symbolize the Adriatic Sea and the Sun. The basic symbol of the «new» Duhan is a smile that is graphically formed from the initial letter D in the name of Duhan, and it symbolizes the amiable salesperson-buyer relationship. Together with market recognizability and modern design, the new Duhan brand builds its image on quality service with an unfailing smile.

Result - Duhan d.d. has achieved a 20% increase in retail. Duhan's points of sale have become a recognizably more pleasant experience. This is due to the change in image, as well as the amiability of the salespersons who identified with and participated in the rebranding initiative through improved customer care training. This intergrated effort has significantly improved the relationship with customers.
