Yum! Brands - KFC
2006 ReBrand 100 Winners > meritIndustry: Restaurants and Fast Foods - Below: Before Image, Rebrand Images, Summary, Credits Summary: Challenge - Kentucky Fried Chicken was experiencing lagging sales and realized the need to reinvent itself. Strategy - The new prototype explodes with color and vibrancy. A younger Colonel wearing a red apron instead of the traditional three-piece white suit looks over the billboard size graphics alongside the building. The interior boasts a contemporary flair with large graphics, picnic tables, metal chairs and bucket-style lighting overhead. Result - Sales at this location have doubled. Due to the store's success, Kentucky Fried Chicken is opening 49 more stores, and based on performance, another 300 within the next three years. Credits: Client: Yum!
