And build it around new Mix and Burn technology. Strategy - To create an Inspiration Destination. An escape in the middle of the city. And instead of creating a cool atmosphere and trying to shoehorn the technology into it, we wanted to create the store around the technology and let it be the centerpiece. Result - Earshot has become the number one destination for creating downloadable, customized CDs in the Southeast. The industry average from Napster, iTunes and retail stores with mixing capabilities of consumers burning an entire CD (which is more profitable) averages just 5 percent of sales...Earshot is averaging over 25 percent.
