Steve Frykholm Vice President, Creative Director, Herman Miller, Inc. 
After teaching in Nigeria with the U.S. Peace Corps, Steve attended and graduated
from Cranbrook Academy of Art. Furniture icon Herman Miller, Inc. then hired him
to be its first internal graphic designer. For 35 years he has been largely responsible for Herman Miller’s image and graphic identity, its posters, annual reports, and other collateral literature. Not only has Steve received Herman Miller’s highest recognition for an employee, The Carl F. Frost Award, but he has also received recognition from professional peers. His work has been published and exhibited, and he's received Gold and Silver medals, Triad awards, and Certificates of Excellence from AIGA, N.Y. Art Directors Club, American Center for Design, Mead Annual Report Show, Communication Arts, Graphis, Creativity, and Print. [ back ] |
