listimage John Bricker formed Gensler's Retail and Brand Development Studio in 1980. He was named Principal and Director of Retail and Brand Strategy in 1989. Mr. Bricker directs the New York retail studio, which has quickly grown to a total of thirty designers. He is a firmwide practice area leader, directing the efforts of studios in five Gensler offices throughout the nation. His design versatility is reflected in the broad range of multi-disciplinary projects and teams. This diversity includes strategic brand development, graphic design, retail environments, exhibit/trade show design, corporate identity, print, and environmental graphics. While Mr. Bricker’s focus is retail design, his strategic visioning skills allow him to help our corporate clients to understand culture and brand as it relates to workplace. Mr. Bricker’s recent work includes projects for a wide variety of clients including American Express, American Girl, Wachovia Bank, and Toys ‘R’ Us. His work has won numerous national and international awards, and has been published in Interior Design, Interiors, The New York Times, and Communication Arts.
