Ed Lussier Senior Vice President and Creative Director, Reebok
As senior vice president and creative director, Ed Lussier oversees Reebok’s design and advance concepts groups. Ed is involved in the strategy, design and production of Reebok footwear from concept to retail. One of Reebok’s first 10 employees, Ed began his career at Reebok in 1981 as a part-time grassroots marketer, before being hired full-time in 1983 as a technology representative. In his career, Ed has played a major role in creating, launching and marketing some of Reebok’s most significant products. As Aerobics and Fitness Product Manager from 1984-1986, Ed was instrumental in the success of aerobics-inspired shoes such as The Freestyle and The Princess, which rocketed Reebok to the top of the athletic footwear world in the 1980’s. As Director of the Advance Concepts team from 1986 to 1988, Ed oversaw the development and launch of one of Reebok’s most significant technologies, The Pump. Ed was also instrumental in the conception and execution of Reebok’s Workout and Preseason concepts of the 1990’s. After more than a decade at Reebok, Ed was hired as director of US marketing for Adidas. In 1996, he returned to Reebok to help launch the Polo Sport line of footwear. After successfully getting the Polo Sport brand off the ground, Ed was offered the opportunity to move to Switzerland, when he was hired as VP of casual footwear for Bally of Switzerland. In 1999, Ed returned to the US and Reebok and has been a major part of the company’s recent growth and success. Ed is a graduate of Providence College with a degree in History. [ back ] |
