Summary:

Challenge - For the AIGA's annual design exhibition, Carbone Smolan Agency set out to rebrand the show and the space under the unifying theme of "A New Perspective".


Strategy - A warm shade of red enveloped the entire exhibition and all promotional collateral. Freestanding pedestal displays, which grew taller and smaller as they receded, created an exaggerated perspective that played into the show's theme and made the most of a long, narrow floor plate.

Organizationally, Carbone Smolan mixed up mediums to represent the increasingly blurred lines between design disciplines, encouraging visitors to re-examine their traditional perception of design.

Result - The result is a cohesive transformation of the physical space and a strong identity for the show.
