misc Mary Taylor was named president of RYKÄ in 1998 and is responsible for leading the growth and strategic direction of the only women’s-focused athletic footwear brand in the world. She brings to RYKÄ more than 22 years of product marketing, research and development, and management expertise in the sporting goods industry. Under her leadership RYKÄ has doubled its top-line sales since 1998. Mary has also returned the brand to its roots by re-launching the philanthropic arm of the business. Through the RYKÄ Women’s Fitness Grant, RYKÄ grants up to $50,000 a year to individuals and groups that support women’s health and fitness. She is currently overseeing the launch of the inaugural RYKÄ performance apparel line, evolving RYKÄ’s well-known fit and comfort into technically-inspired fitness apparel. Prior to joining RYKÄ, Taylor was VP of global marketing for Converse Inc., spent over three years with the Stride-Rite Corporation in positions including vice president, product and engineering of the Keds division, and launched the global women’s footwear and apparel lines at Fila, USA. Taylor began her athletic footwear career in 1986 with Reebok International, Ltd., and spent over six years in a variety of product marketing and brand management and development.
