Summary:

Challenge - Adobe commissioned MetaDesign to redesign the packaging of its Creative Professional products to coincide with the release of Adobe Creative Suite - a bundle of Adobe's key design and publishing products, united technologically through the new VersionCue platform. The challenge was to help Adobe 'emotionally reconnect' with its unusually astute audience, which had stopped buying software upgrades.

Strategy - MetaDesign's design system employed the theme of nature as a metaphor for the creative process, reflecting precision, beauty and aspiration.

Result - In January 2004, The New York Times listed Adobe Photoshop CS as the second highest selling software package in the US.
