Summary:

Challenge - Unchallenged since the 1970's, the stale colors and outdated graphics on Schroeder milk cartons falsely suggested an aging, unsophisticated small business.

Strategy - Schroeder wanted to cater to the needs of ever-busier families and compete with other beverage offerings. Bold, clean graphics allow the customer to quickly spot the Schroeder brand on the shelf and identify the milk variety they need. The portable, resealable package works well with fast-paced lifestyles. Reflecting the Schroeder's innovative approach to dairy, new opaque plastic bottles protect the milk from the depletion of vitamins, minerals, and flavaor caused by light.

Result - Since the launch of its new identity, Schroeder has seen a 12% increase in overall sales and a 30% growth in sales of compact pints of milk. Various awards brought much PR to the brand, and the package was cited as a reason for such.
